What the bill says it does

The main purposes of this Act are— (a) to provide for protection of certain non-derogable human rights by requiring specific information in statements of compatibility for Bills and human rights certificates for statutory rules; and (b) to repeal the power of Parliament to override the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities.
