What the bill says it does
The main purposes of this Act are to amend the Planning and Environment Act 1987— (a) to require responsible authorities to consider certain factors before granting a permit to use and develop land for the purposes of a solar energy generation facility; and (b) to prevent the grant of a permit to use or develop land for the purposes of a solar energy generation facility if that land meets certain specified criteria.
