What the bill says it does
The purposes of this Act are— (a) to require the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee to review, report on and make recommendations relating to proposed transactions for the privatisation of certain public assets and statutory functions; and (b) to prohibit transactions for the privatisation of certain public assets and statutory functions without the approval of both Houses of the Parliament; and (c) to provide for the termination, on 1 January 2030, of agreements and leases entered into for the purposes of the Public Housing Renewal Program Package 1 Project and the Ground Lease Model 2 Project.
