What the bill says it does
The purposes of this Act are— (a) to amend the Racing Act 1958— (i) to provide for the recognition of— (A) a body to be responsible for the carrying out of certain powers and functions relating to harness racing; and (B) a body to be responsible for the carrying out of certain powers and functions relating to greyhound racing; and (ii) to confer powers and functions on the bodies so recognised; and (iii) to further provide for integrity assurance by— (A) establishing the Racing Integrity Commission Victoria; and (B) repealing the establishment of the Victorian Racing Integrity Board; and (C) further providing for the functions, powers and duties of the Racing Integrity Commissioner; and (b) to make related and consequential amendments to the Racing Act 1958 and the Domestic Animals Act 1994; and (c) to amend the Australian Grands Prix Act 1994 to provide for powers of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation in relation to approved motor sport events under that Act.
